Job Description
The Opportunity Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide, College of Aviation, Aeronautics invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the aviation safety field. Experience with commercial and/or military aviation safety operations is desired. This full-time, 10-month faculty position will involve teaching primarily in the aviation safety program. Classes will be taught primarily online. As an academic appointment with faculty rank, this position includes teaching, scholarship, and university service as the principal responsibilities. Candidates must have an earned doctorate degree, as well as academic and professional/scholarly experience in the aviation safety industry. A strong background in research methodologies and publications, a broad insight into the interdisciplinary nature of aviation safety and related activities, and a strong interest in developing collaborative research projects in the specified fields is desired. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in both operations and aviation-related STEM fields. Specifically, the candidate should have expertise in the broad context of aviation safety.
