We are a private investor owned water and wastewater company producing and providing potable water to approximately 54,500 water connections (over 182,000 population) to 31 municipalities in the state of New Jersey. With 53 treatment facilities, 88 wells, and 728 miles of pipe, the company can treat and deliver 13 million gallons of water to customers each day. Water is sourced from the Precambrian, Gneiss, Stratified Drift, Kittatinny, Igneous Rock, Allentown, Potomac-Raritan-Magothy, Stockton, Vincentown, Mt. Laurel, and Kirkwood-Cohansey aquifers. We also provide wastewater services to approximately 6,200 customers.

About:
This position consists of a combination of both field work and office work. You will also interact and work with many different departments including but not limited to operations and environmental compliance. Our goal is to provide an environment where you can learn the drinking water and wastewater utility industry and apply what you have learned to your future career goals.

Tasks may consist of -

  • Monthly compliance reporting support
  • Vertical asset inspections for asset management program
  • Records management for Aqua and developer projects programs
  • Engineering drawings organization and record keeping on the shared drive and/or OnBase
  • Assist in reviewing engineering design for water main replacement projects
  • Visit construction sites as needed
  • Lead service line inventor
  • Assist the engineering team in project management
  • Cross connection control program support
  • Permit applications (Municipal, NJDEP, NJDOT, County, etc.)
  • Perform general data entry as needed
  • Assist with other tasks or projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess valid driver's license
  • Ability to work independently to complete assignments
  • Ability to communicate clearly in speech and writing
  • Willingness to work in both office and field environments
