1. Engages families by sharing their own journey through creation and distribution of a monthly EI newsletter with information relevant to families. Helps to model collaborative interactions between the family and the variety of relevant individuals in the larger system of support (extended family, friends, other providers, school personnel, and/or state agency representatives).
2. Coordinates educational opportunities to enable parents/caregivers of an enrolled child or children to participate in workshops and other available support services.
3. Serves as a mentor to parents, caregivers, and parent volunteers to improve the ability to effectively advocate for their child or children by hosting regularly scheduled meetings.
4. Works to build strong relationships with enrolled child or children, their families, and outside agencies by attending meetings such as Transition Planning Conferences for transition from EI to Public School, or with other community partners as needed.
5. Maintains updated e-mail list for distribution of Program and DPH required paperwork, surveys, data collection, and reports.
6. Assists in the maintenance of a positive and collaborative working environment where all employees of CHL and enrolled child or children and their families feel welcome, supported, and comfortable.
7. Effectively communicates with families, colleagues, and community members in a manner that is sensitive to their racial/ethnic/cultural/class backgrounds.

II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education
:
Required:

1. High School diploma, GED, or HiSet.
2. Satisfactory CORI background check.

Experience/Skills:
Required:

1. Current or former parent of a child enrolled in early intervention.
2. Basic computer skills including, but not limited to, email, Word, and Excel.
3. Ability to demonstrate clear and consistent boundaries.
