Position Title: Plant Technician
Wage: $17.75/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 3pm-11pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Plant Technician for a company in Lake Geneva, WI. This is an associate to hire role. Plant Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Use air-activated guns and belt sanders to remove burrs and blend surface flaws - Maintain specifications and tolerances on parts - Remove excess metal or flaws marked by inspection - Operate wheel equipment to grind gates off casted parts - Report machine issues to supervisors - Inspect casted parts and report any quality issues - Conduct quality checks - Hand dip or operate robots to coat wax molds with slurry and sand - Prepare molds for autoclave and maintain shell equipment - Mix and maintain slurry levels as per instructions - Operate wax presses and finishing machines - Assemble patterns to runners and inspect wax parts for defects - Attach wax parts to trees using hot glue - Maintain a clean work environment - Follow WPCC's safety and quality policies - Perform other duties assigned Plant Technician Requirements: - Repeatedly lift parts ranging in weight from 10lbs to 50lbs - Able to stand for extended periods of time - Some mechanical aptitude or previous machine operation experience - Able to read and understand English directions - Able to use basic hand and power tools QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
