About the Opportunity

  • Call: DO/MDs do not take call (DPMs cover call).
  • Patient Volume: 4,000 patient visits/year.
    • CSNM Bone & Joint serves a wide catchment area across rural Southern New Mexico, minimizing competition and boosting patient volume.

Procedures Performed:

  • Fracture Care & Trauma Surgery:
    Vital for farming, construction, and outdoor activity injuries.
  • Arthroscopic Procedures:
    Minimally invasive repairs for knees, shoulders, and ankles (meniscus, rotator cuff, labrum).
  • Sports Medicine Procedures:
    ACL reconstructions, tendon repairs, and treatments for active and athletic populations.
  • Carpal Tunnel & Hand Surgery:
    Common procedures for the general workforce and aging population.
  • Revision Surgeries:
    For failed joint replacements or post-operative complications from surgeries performed elsewhere.
  • Total Joint Replacements:
    Hip, knee, and shoulder replacements to address the needs of an aging population and arthritis prevalence.

Experience & Skills:

  • 3-5 years of general orthopedic practice experience, with proficiency in joint replacements, arthroscopy, and fracture care.
  • Preferred (Not Required): Fellowship training in joint replacement, sports medicine, trauma, or hand/foot and ankle surgery.
  • Surgical Expertise:
    Skilled in minimally invasive and traditional open surgeries for arthritis, fractures, and sports injuries.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
    Experience working with physical therapists, pain management specialists, and podiatrists.

Sponsorship:

  • H1B and J1 visa sponsorships are available.

Requirements:

  • Must be eligible for or obtain a New Mexico medical license.
  • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible.
