We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Laboratory Manager to join the team of Dr. Cagla Eroglu at Duke University. The position provides excellent opportunities for performing operational management and is suited for a highly productive and dedicated individual with experience managing a large, diverse, fast-paced lab. The Eroglu laboratory investigates the roles of glial cells, particularly astrocytes, in the development, remodeling, and function of synaptic circuits in health and disease. Research elucidated a number of important molecular mechanisms that underlie astrocytic control of synapse formation and remodeling. Furthermore, their work revealed that loss of glial control of synapse formation is an underlying pathological mechanism in a number of neurological disorders, including autism, neuropathic pain, and neurodegeneration.
