JOB SUMMARY: As the Diamond Saw Operator 2, you'll be responsible for the programming, setup, and operation of various saws. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Loading and unloading saws with an overhead crane or by hand, based on the size of the slab or stone being cut Reading production tickets to determine work to be completed Reviewing work to ensure it meets production ticket specifications before and after cutting Indexing the saw blades to the correct sizes and dimensions based on the stone being cut Applying patterns and layout stone to utilize raw stone materials best Loading pre-programmed profiles from the network Performing operator-level calibration and alignment of the saws Creating cutting and profile programs for all of the saws from shop tickets and network .dxf files using AutoCAD Monitoring the saw during operation to make adjustments and corrections as needed Applying general knowledge of stone tolerances to repair, mill, apply angle and shape cuts, specific tooling, and other detailed work that is required per customer specifications Troubleshooting cutting problems that periodically arise Labeling all cut pieces with the correct job ID number Scanning bar code on production tickets to record work performed in the JDE system SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Must obtain forklift certification; training and certification provided by Coldspring Must have general computer and math skills Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, to avoid interruptions in production Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with an emphasis on time management, improving efficiencies and exercising independent judgment to determine work priority and urgency Mechanically inclined Must be able to read work orders or production tickets, which may include dimensional drawings Ability to read a tape measure, imperial and metric Work as a self-motivated team member who adheres to all safety protocols and is willing to cross-train as needed MAKE YOUR MARK AND MAKE IT LAST If you are an individual with a disability and require a reasonable accommodation to complete any part of the application process, or are limited in the ability or unable to access or use this online application process and need an alternative method for applying, please call or text Karissa Lintgen at 320-685-4681 or email Karissa at klintgen@coldspringusa.com for assistance.
