Sr. Processor - Commercial Loan

The Senior Commercial Loan Processor works independently, and is responsible for processing complex to advanced loans, including but not limited to conventional, government, and commercial and residential construction loans or loans that are participated with other lenders. Responsible for collecting and validating all documentation, ensuring effective operations while adhering to regulatory compliance guidelines as defined by commercial loan standards. Acts as a role model for the Commercial Loan Processors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for processing complex construction-to-perm loans and participation loans.
  • Periodically coaches processing team and performs review of loan files prior to hand off for closing and funding.
  • Acts as a liaison and maintains communication between the Commercial Loan Officer and all parties relevant to the loan (borrower, underwriting, appraisal, environmental, etc.).
  • Manages and reviews loan pipeline daily.
  • Reviews and evaluates purchase contracts, appraisals, and title documents according to policy and guidelines.
  • Coordinates with the underwriter and document preparation firm, confirms anticipated closing date and prepares loan file for closing process.
  • Assumes periodic responsibility in the closing, funding, and boarding of complex loan files at peak times, including preparing attorney closing instructions, reviewing loan documents, closing statements, and due diligence items.
  • Familiarity with reviewing title commitments and all schedule exceptions.
  • Assists Commercial Fulfillment Manager with compiling and producing periodic reporting and coordinating ongoing sales transactions with other financial institutions.
  • Monitors and keeps current with NCUA, TCUD, Small Business Administration (SBA), and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) rules and regulations.
  • Takes accountability and creates ways to provide a best-in-class member experience.

  • Minimum Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Associates degree or an equivalent mix of education and experience is a requirement.

    Experience:

    • Four or more years of job-related experience including familiarity with documenting and processing complex to advanced commercial construction, mortgage, and participation loans.

    • Travel within the market (20%+), occasional overnight (5%)
    • Remote/hybrid position working from home office (80%)
    • While performing the essential duties of this position, an employee would frequently be required to stand, walk, and sit. An employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds to perform essential position functions.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
    • Arrangement Hybrid Hub: On average 4-6 days a month or less depending on business needs.
