Overview
DecisionPoint is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team! The successful candidate will work closely with DoD personnel in formatting/editing technical documentation in support of Cyber Protection Teams on the Defensive Cyber Realization, Integration, and Operational Support (DCRIOS) II contract. This position is onsite in Scott AFB, IL.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in drafting and standardizing documentation to include Standard Operating Procedures, task lists and procedures.
- Utilize a revision cycle to proofread documents, provide edits/updates, standardize format, meet proper sourcing requirements, etc.
- Meet with document owners to review edits and ensure document meets the intended goal
- Follow organizational procedures for routing and archiving documents
- Draft and present documentation to team leadership and customer Point of Contact for review, approval, and submission to the provided documentation repository.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Working experience in high-availability environments.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a technical writer
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience on current Air Force Defensive Cyber Realization, Integration, and Operational Support (DCRIOS) contract highly desired.
