The role is part of our Engineered Polymers Solutions team and will support several regions, BU's, and operations as needed. Job duties include contact with other employees and access to confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. - Maintaining courteous and prompt written and verbal communication with Technical and Manufacturing at the local, regional, and divisional levels.
- Supporting the identification, investigation, and resolution of quality issues by interacting with Technical and Manufacturing personnel, and others as required.
- Reviewing, approving, and monitoring new formula alternates for production at home site and other sites within the division including major reformulations to ensure successful commercialization.
- Coordinate, assist and support test batches and new product commercialization.
- Support Continuous Improvement projects designed to improve quality, efficiency and capacity as well as support the consolidation of slow-moving, low volume or obsolete raw material and finished goods.
- Leveraging best practices and implement strategic quality initiatives with manufacturing plants and technical labs.
- Participate in the implementation of IT systems and applications and perform effective data analysis to support various projects and investigations.
- Serving as a resource for eliminating obstacles to manufacturing as it relates to quality, productivity, and consistency.
- Run lab batches to support EPS business and Global Polymer Region Operations as needed.
- Expected Lab to Plant Ratio 25% lab, 75% plant
BASIC QUALIFICATION: * Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment (without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment work visa and/or permanent residence status). FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: * Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics ("STEM") field Preferred: * Advanced degree in Chemical, Polymer, or Engineering field KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: * Chemical Engineering experience * Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities * Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills * Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. * Excellent organizational and planning skills.
