Learn more about the Pomona College Office of Human Resources here: https://www.pomona.edu/administration/human-resources About the Role The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor and dedicated HR liaison to the Dean of the Faculty (Academic Affairs) and Student Employment, ensuring HR practices are effectively aligned with the College's strategic priorities and operational goals. Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President for Human Resources/CHRO, this role delivers high-quality, proactive, and solution-oriented HR support to faculty leadership, administrative staff, and student employment supervisors. The HR Business Partner works collaboratively with department leaders to address employee relations matters, guide workforce and staffing plans, support recruitment efforts, manage staff-related budgeting, and ensure the consistent interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures. By fostering strong partnerships and promoting an integrated approach to human resources, the HR Business Partner plays a vital role in advancing the mission of Academic Affairs and Student Employment, while contributing to the broader success of institutional initiatives. The anticipated yearly salary range for this position is: $85,000 - $104,000 annually based on experience. What you can expect to be doing: Building and sustaining effective and collaborative relationships between the Human Resources Department and the Academic Affairs division, including faculty leadership, department chairs, and administrative staff.
