Position Summary

Develops strategic market/product line business plans and programs to support sales in designated market segments; identifies volume and strategic customers; and develops partnerships. Analyzes market data to identify trends/opportunities; develops strategic direction from market information and creates compelling market analysis presentations. May conduct make vs. buy analysis from a partnership/acquisition perspective. Conducts analysis for joint ventures, collaborative agreements, and licensing opportunities.

The person in this position is responsible for selling gaming products to licensed casino operators within an assigned territory and improving the quality of customer service.In addition, may also be responsible for the training, development, and monitoring of new sales personnel within the territory.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Compiles and maintains updated account listings/call sheets of all customers through the use of personal contacts, trade journals, business directories, and other available sources of information
  • Builds relationships with, solicits business, and resolves complaints from prospective or current clients
  • Acts as a consultant to keep management abreast of competitive market trends and any issues that may impede business
  • Represents the company at trade association meetings to promote the product
  • Develops a good working knowledge of the product line and its application within the marketplace
  • Identifies customer needs via sales contact or through slot floor analysis
  • Prepares sales contracts and sales order entry documentation in a timely and accurate manner for orders obtained
  • Maintains contact with the customer during the delivery and implementation process
  • Prepares analytical performance reports for the territory and responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of the expense account
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Presents established and effective sales training methods, techniques, and ideas to assigned sales personnel
  • Remains abreast of new technology and benchmarks against competitors
  • Trains sales personnel and establishes sales quotas
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • More than five years of sales experience
  • Minimum of four years Gaming systems related experience required
  • Preferred prior working experience with one of the major Gaming manufacturers in a Systems/Technology landscape
  • *Understanding of Gaming technology and systems related nuances in a working capacity
  • *Aptitude to learn Gaming systems commercial objectives and implement in a customer setting
  • *Demonstrate skills in developing territory and customer base

Education:

*Bachelor's Degree

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, sales proposals, and presentation materials
  • *Strong attention to detail
  • *Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • *Ability to lead and manage others
  • *Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, managers, customers, or the general public

  • *Proven problem-solving skills
  • *Strong negotiation skills when preparing sales contracts
  • *Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • *Ability to Travel
