THE JOB:

We're looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team! In this role, you'll ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, while managing payroll records, taxes, and benefits. You'll also make sure we stay compliant with federal and state laws, including wage garnishments and labor regulations.

This position is ideal for someone with strong payroll experience who enjoys digging into data, solving problems, and making process improvements. If you're detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and knowledgeable about payroll systems and regulations, we'd love to hear from you!

THE STARTING RATE:$32.05/hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Process payroll accurately and on time, including manual entries, tax computations, deductions, and income withholding orders (e.g., garnishments, child support, tax levies).

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, collective bargaining agreements, and internal policies while maintaining confidentiality of employee records.

• Respond to complex payroll inquiries from employees and managers, providing clear guidance on deductions, taxes, and policies.

• Prepare and reconcile payroll reports for internal management and regulatory requirements, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.

• Maintain and improve payroll processes, including documentation of standard operating procedures and participation in continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure excellent service delivery, operational efficiency, and readiness for audits.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of prior relevant experience in payroll required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management preferred.
