A Brief Overview This role will serve as a key liaison to ensure gift documentation received through the gift agreement workflow as well as other channels are reviewed in a timely manner, adhere to Foundation policies, IRS rules and regulations, CASE guidelines, as well as other industry standards. This position will assist in gift compliance related projects and assignments that are complex in nature, require considerable judgment, analysis, and initiative to resolve problems. This role will work extensively with a sophisticated and multifaceted database and partner with key stakeholders across the Foundation to support the Foundation's philanthropic goals in adherence with gift policies. This position will be part of a team working under the Gift Policy and Internal Controls.
What you will do
- Under direction of Gift Policy & Internal Controls leadership:
- Drafts all standard gift agreements (under $1M) for review
- Manages DocuSign workflow for gift agreements and other legal documents
- Manages gift agreements intake via Workfront and pipeline reporting
- Ensures gift agreement files are maintained for reference and audit purposes
- Collaborates with the other Gift Policy and Internal Controls team members to coordinate department's daily, weekly, monthly audits and data integrity checks
- Reviews the temporary restricted funds to ensure proper account allocation on monthly basis working with key partners across the Foundation and Enterprise
- Supports financial stewardship efforts including but not limited to streamlining new fund set up efforts by identifying existing financial accounts to meet the criteria of donor's philanthropic goals
- Assists in formal and informal training of Foundation staff
- Provides a high level of customer service by communicating regularly and efficiently with internal and external customers while helping to develop strategies to meet their needs and/or better support them, always striving to represent the Foundation in a positive and professional manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education Qualifications
- Associate's Degree Required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Experience Qualifications
- At least two (2) years of related data and database systems experience Required
- At least two (2) years of business development, fundraising, or administration related experience Preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare, medical or academic related environment Preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Intermediate proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including spreadsheet and database software (Excel, Access)
- Intermediate knowledge of document editing software (Adobe Acrobat)
- Basic proficiency with customer relationship management software strongly preferred (Salesforce, Donorsforce, Raiser's Edge) (Preferred proficiency)
- Substantial knowledge of data structure, relationships and data analysis methodologies
- Familiarity with gift processing and/or fundraising principles strongly preferred (Preferred proficiency)
