JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Materials Research Institute (MRI) is currently seeking a Part-Time building facility and safety support assistant approximately 10-20 hrs/week for summer 2025. This position would perform a variety of tasks associated with support of research laboratories in the Millennium Science Complex (MSC). The position will work alongside the MRI technical service team to support core laboratory facilities, faculty labs and safety. Duties would include: Recordkeeping and organization in this position is a must, and the individual will be required to take appropriate laboratory safety training. Mechanical skills and an eagerness to learn are necessary, requiring the candidate to learn about multiple different laboratories and research equipment. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team responsible for ensuring the various core user facilities and PI laboratories continue to operate along with the ability to learn and work in a uniquely designed building built specifically for specialized research equipment.
