Position Description

Provide departmental assistance for daily contractual and operational activities in support of all business units. Primary job duties require following documented processes with respect to administrative matters of the business.

Estimated hours: 20-40 hours/week

Pay: $20.00 per hour

We offer a hybrid schedule (in-office & remote/work from home) or an onsite schedule and flexible hours. Candidates will need to reside near Charleston, SC to ensure work site flexibility.

Essential Functions
  • Assists the Contracts and Procurement (CP) department with financial and accounting responsibilities.
  • Utilizes applicable accounting software to assist buyers with entering and obtaining financial information.
  • Assists in the preparation of cost proposals and specialized briefings.
  • Aids in preparation and coordination of onsite meetings.
  • Assists with general purchasing.
  • Supports CP personnel to get required results.


Additional Responsibilities:
  • Supports various daily activities of the CP department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Current college student, minimally as a rising Junior, with a major in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
  • Computer skills, with an emphasis on the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills, including communication and adherence to deadlines.
  • Ability to prepare reports and documents using word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and other software tools.
  • Must successfully pass a background to access sensitive information and automated systems.
  • This position will need the ability to access US only data systems - US Citizenship is required.
