Job Description

The Performance Improvement Leader will serve as a key driver of continuous improvement across the manufacturing site. This role is responsible for identifying, leading, and sustaining continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve safety, quality, and delivery. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, coach and train staff on Lean principles, and ensure sustainable improvements aligned with strategic business goals. Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement



  • Lead and execute continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other proven methodologies.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events and root cause analyses to address operational challenges and drive measurable improvements.
  • Identify and assess performance improvement opportunities using data analytics, plant visits, and collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
  • Partner with plant leadership to implement best practices across departments and support site-wide OpEx initiatives.
  • Directly support and coach production floor teams in Lean tools including 5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Standard Work, TPM, SMED/QCO, Error-Proofing, and Visual Management.
  • Sustain gains through coaching, auditing, and performance tracking systems.


Performance Management & Reporting



  • Implement and support the site's Performance Management System (PMS) to track KPIs, cost savings, and project impact.
  • Lead cost-enhancement initiatives by working with site leaders and functional teams.
  • Deliver clear and concise updates to senior leadership regarding improvement efforts and progress.
  • Monitor and analyze business metrics using tools such as SAP, Power BI, or similar platforms to identify trends and drive decision-making


Training & Culture Building



  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by leading training and workshops on Lean methodologies for frontline employees and leadership.
  • Serve as a change agent to embed Lean thinking in day-to-day operations.
  • Mentor and coach team members to develop internal continuous improvement capabilities


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with direct responsibility for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Demonstrated success leading Lean and Kaizen events with sustainable results.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools and principles.
  • Proven experience analyzing data and leading problem-solving efforts using structured methodologies.
  • Excellent project management, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
