As a crucial member of the Market Development Applications Team in the role of Senior Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Bio-Rad's Mission. You will be instrumental in the growth and expansion of the ddPCR market. Your impact will be felt through the meticulous design and execution of experiments. Your ability to articulate complex technical information with diverse audiences will be the bridge between our products and our customers, both internal and external. Your ability to think creatively will help you to identify workflow synergies that enable our customers. You will support the generation of commercial enablement tools including application notes, technical notes, presentations, assays, webinars, posters, and publications. This role, and the team, will work closely with various product marketing groups, product managers, sales specialists, support specialists, market development, informatics, and other commercial divisions. Additionally, this team will support key collaborations that grow and expand market adoption of applications and technologies within the portfolio.

How You'll Make An Impact:



  • Collaborate with our marketing partners on overall design of experiments as well as writing technical literature for sales and marketing support.
  • Design and conduct experiments which showcase the features of our products.
  • Analyze and compile data and prepare technical reports for internal and external presentations.
  • Propose innovative solutions to problems by brainstorming, troubleshooting, and executing wet-lab experiments.
  • Assist with establishing project schedules and project documentation.
  • Lead small teams of scientists as dictated by project.


What You Bring:



  • Education: MS/PhD degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics or similar life science discipline
  • Work Experience: 5+ years of industry or relevant academic experience. Translational research or drug discovery experience is highly desired.
  • Extensive practical experience in droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) and various other PCR-based applications, including conventional and real-time PCR.
  • Skilled in designing, executing, and analyzing data for experiments involving genotyping, copy number variation, and gene expression. Additional essential skills encompass nucleic acid purification, primer and probe design, and assay optimization.
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and accommodate shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate in a cross-functional matrixed team environment.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $117,900 to $162,200 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
