Exciting Opportunity: Become Our Next Production Planning Expert!

We are seeking a strategic and proactive Production Planner to optimize manufacturing operations and ensure timely delivery of top-quality products. In this role, you will coordinate production schedules, manage inter-departmental workflows, and address any operational challenges to enhance efficiency. You'll also drive continuous improvement and lead team meetings to share insights and set objectives. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, at least 5 years of experience in production planning, proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred), and excellent organizational and communication skills. A Day In The Life

  • Coordinate workflow across departments to ensure on-time customer deliveries.
  • Schedule and create Production Orders based on factory capacity and delivery targets.
  • Assemble and verify Production Order packets with correct drawings.
  • Review unscheduled customer and inter-company purchase order (ICPO) backlog daily.
  • Analyze backlog and process line output to enhance production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to address material shortages and manage off-site storage with the Warehouse.
  • Handle Customer Service inquiries about lead times, expedite requests, and direct shipping.
  • Resolve issues with jobs on hold, including discrepancies in job quantity, rejects, or missing prints.
  • Address variances in Production Orders and cost of goods issues (COGI).
  • Work effectively with diverse personalities to implement changes and overcome obstacles.
  • Communicate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to solve specific Production Order problems and broader output and delivery issues.
  • Participate actively in Production Control meetings to set goals and share pertinent information.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including production scheduling, capacity, and capability.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage diverse communication styles effectively.
  • High degree of dependability and flexibility required.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to analyze current processes and pro-actively make improvements on a day-to-day basis in addition to collaborating on larger changes within the plant



Preferred Certifications: APICS CPIM, Lean experience.
