UMKC School of Dentistry is seeking an academically experienced board-certified pediatric dentist to serve as Interim Department Chair of Pediatric Dentistry and to...

• teach D6617 Pediatric Dentistry Seminar during the 2025 Summer Semester;
• teach in the Pediatric Dental Clinic during the Summer and Fall Semesters 2 days/week as scheduled to maintain appropriate clinical coverage.

The faculty member will also complete administrative duties on behalf of the department such as scheduling, responding to e-mails, representing the department for the Nov. 2025 CODA site visit as well as other agreed upon duties designated by the Interim Dean/Dean. This individual will be contracted to work 2.5 days per week.

Minimum Qualifications:
Eligible for Missouri Dental License
Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry

Preferred Qualifications:
Experienced as a course director for pediatric dentistry courses
Experience serving as a department chair in pediatric dentistry
