SUMMARY

Direct and manage all operations on the shift with overall responsibilities for production, employee safety, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities. Reports to the Plant Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct and manage plant operations for production, employee safety maintenance, quality and shipping and receiving.
• Coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure that all manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely manner.
• Promotes safety culture on the shift.
• Knows or can learn to control budget through active planning and understanding of the plant P&L.
• Establish and monitor overall shift performance for production and quality standards.
• Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
• Provides direction, development and leadership to all supervision and Team Leads on the shift.

SAFETY

• Wears all required PPE while in the manufacturing facility
• Monitors the activities of all employees and provides feedback and discipline to promote a safe workplace.
• Engages employees in seeking potential safety improvements.
• Participates in Safety Committee activities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise all production and shipping supervisors and team lead personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Mechanically Inclined.
• Problem Solver
• Team Oriented.
• Manufacturing Supervisory Experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in related field or five years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and converting fractions into decimals.
• Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer and caliper accurately.
