Job Description

We are seeking a Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to join our team in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:



  • Support the Program Manager in overseeing all aspects of contract execution, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and contract requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for SEA 21 leadership in the Program Manager's absence, maintaining clear and responsive communication
  • Manage daily contractor operations, including staffing, subcontractor coordination, quality assurance, and performance oversight
  • Oversee cost and schedule control, ensuring projects remain on budget and are delivered on time
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring continuous compliance with all contractual and regulatory obligations
  • Supervise and support project personnel, fostering a high-performance team environment
  • Lead internal and external meetings, providing clear direction and actionable updates to stakeholders
  • Monitor task order progress and ensure timely delivery of all contract deliverables
  • Provide strategic guidance to improve operational efficiency, contractor performance, and mission effectiveness
  • Maintain strong communication with key stakeholders to support program objectives and ensure transparency

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:



  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a business, financial, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in program or project management
  • Experience in Navy Project Management or similar DoD programs
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing contractor performance and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
  • Proven supervisory experience, including hiring, training, and managing project staff
  • Strong background in interpreting and applying DoD policies, regulations, and standards
  • Ability to travel (up to 10%) for site visits or stakeholder meetings

  • Skilled in managing day-to-day operations, including team scheduling, resource allocation, and cost control
  • Proficient in analyzing contractor processes and implementing continuous improvements
  • Experienced in monitoring project milestones, deliverables, risks, and compliance metrics
  • Effective communicator with the ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders and report to senior leadership
  • Capable of developing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, reports, and schedules
  • Adept at leading meetings, facilitating strategic planning sessions, and driving project alignment with organizational goals
