WATER TREATMENT RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT SCIENTIST

We're seeking a highly skilled research scientist who is responsible for formulating and testing water treatment products and also evaluating and adopting new technologies. To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate must have:



  • A bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or related field.
  • 3-5 years of industrial experience, preferably in areas related to: water chemistry and treatment, formulations in liquid form, corrosion, surface chemistry, reverse osmosis.
  • Practical work experience in industrial laboratory or water treatment applications with the ability to show examples of past work.

  • An innovative critical thinker and problem solver motivated by complex challenges.
  • Able to leverage knowledge to develop new, unique solutions to problems, including formulation approaches not yet demonstrated.
  • Organized and thorough in their approach to work with keen attention to detail and quality.
  • A strong communicator both verbally and in writing who can work with a variety of people both internally and externally.


DAY-TO-DAY WORK EXAMPLES

  • DEVELOP new product formulation leveraging literature and research.
  • CONDUCT EXPERIMENTAL EVALUATIONS of new product formulations, raw materials, competitive products in the lab and field environment
  • ANALYZE new developments in water treatment technologies and how these apply to our business
  • COLLABORATE with outside research groups or suppliers to leverage their newest technologies.
  • CREATE AND MAINTAIN all of the necessary documentation in order to develop and commercialize the products (i.e. lab notebooks, specifications, technical test methods/data, etc.).
  • ANALYZE AND SUMMARIZE research and development findings into technical documents; utilize statistical tools for data analysis as appropriate
  • PROVIDE technical support to sales/marketing teams and Global operations groups.
  • ENSURE that Corporate Safety and ISO procedures are followed in area of your responsibility.
