Your Role at Acousti

We're looking for dedicated, passionate, and experienced Estimators to join our team! As an Estimator at Acousti, you will play a key role in the preconstruction process, preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial drywall and acoustical ceiling projects. Your ability to assess project costs and collaborate with both internal teams and external partners is critical to maintaining Acousti's reputation for quality and efficiency.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects and support continuous improvement in estimating tools and processes.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:



  • Develop estimates for commercial drywall and ceiling projects
  • Present estimates to management during the review process
  • Apply best practices to incorporate direct, indirect, support, and overhead costs into estimates
  • Utilize estimating tools and databases, updating estimates based on project actuals
  • Support continuous improvement in estimating processes and tools
  • Monitor and improve metrics such as estimate accuracy and development efficiency
  • Evaluate production factors that influence cost
  • Prepare detailed material, labor, and cost estimates
  • Manage bid proposals from vendors and subcontractors
  • Analyze bid data to prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns
  • Collaborate with project teams, procurement, and operations to ensure alignment with budget goals


What We're Looking for in You

To succeed in this role, you should have:



  • High School diploma with proven experience, or an associate degree with relevant experience
  • 8+ years of drywall estimating experience (required)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial documents
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid, or similar estimating software
  • Familiarity with procurement and submittal processes (RFQ, RFI, RFP)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related computer skills


Education Requirements

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Associate Degree or higher in Construction Management or related field
