Position: Financial Analyst
Department: Finance
Reporting to: Vice President of Finance
Location: Topeka, KS - Onsite
Overview:
We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. In this role, you'll support key financial operations by developing, auditing, and maintaining accurate reports related to commissions, carrier payments, and revenue. You'll work closely with internal teams to provide insights that help drive sound financial decisions, while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance in all financial data. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, spotting trends, and contributing to meaningful business insights.
This role is located in Topeka, Kansas, and it is exclusively an on-site work arrangement. Additionally, please note that the company does not extend sponsorship opportunities at this time.
What you'll do:


  • Audit commission and revenue data for accuracy and compliance
  • Track and report carrier revenue across multiple product lines
  • Maintain and update bonus calculation sheets
  • Monitor trail commissions and ensure accurate tracking
  • Partner with the Sales Team on carrier agreements and data validation
  • Create and manage financial reports and dashboards
  • Analyze financial trends and deliver actionable insights
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reporting
  • Assist with annual budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial reporting standards


Experience you'll bring:


  • 5+ years' experience in finance or accounting, preferably with commission-based operations in the financial services industry
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field
  • Proficiency in Excel, including formula creation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communicator with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Independent, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience managing confidential and sensitive financial data
