As a Maintenance Supervisor at Ryerson, you will be responsible for managing the clerical side of maintenance and the safe direction of a small group of technicians that perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair equipment, and install new equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Inventory management, work order management, vendor documentation, setting up vendors. Coordinating and scheduling repairs with the maintenance technician.
  • Attendance in maintenance training sessions with the maintenance technicians to gain knowledge.
  • Inventory: Establish new supply chains and vendor relationships, issue POs, maintain stock parts, and manage WIP.
  • Maintain various Management systems- work with various computer systems to help facilitate the team's business within the organization - Airba, eMaint, REHSQ.
  • Coordinate affected equipment repairs.
  • Training and development - ensure training is compliant and valuable to team growth.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in an industrial environment safely around Powered Industrial Trucks, Overhead Cranes, and Processing equipment (stamping machines, presses, cut-to-length lines, slitters)
  • Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 3-6 month time span
  • Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with employee training and development
  • Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods, including flow, layout, assembly, and production equipment
