The Assistant Director for Campus Activities plays a key role in fostering a vibrant and inclusive campus community through the development and execution of engaging programs and events. This position is responsible for advising Touch-N-Go Productions, the university's student programming board, and for leading the planning and implementation of department-sponsored initiatives, including the Bonus Bucks campus activities incentive program, routine small-scale programming, and select events within major campus traditions such as Homecoming. Key Responsibilities: Involvement & Programming Lead planning and execution of annual involvement programs such as Week of Welcome, Stress Relief Week, Summer Vibes, and weekly Skyline Socials (game nights, trivia, crafts, live music). Manage the Bonus Bucks incentive program and collaborate across departments for consistent, high-quality student events. Support university-wide traditions like Orientation, Homecoming, and Blue & Gold Week by managing specific event elements and partnerships. Touch-N-Go Productions Advise the student programming board on event planning, budgeting, recruitment, promotion, and production. Provide mentorship and leadership development through retreats, workshops, and weekly meetings. Oversee contract negotiations with artists, agents, and vendors for major events such as the Homecoming Concert and Eaglepalooza Music Festival. Serve as on-site event supervisor for Touch-N-Go programs. Administrative & Strategic Oversight Manage Campus Activities budgets, assessments, and contribute to departmental strategic planning. Collaborate with the Associate Director and a broader team dedicated to student organizations, student government, fraternity/sorority life, and the Student Union. Reporting to the Associate Director for Activities & Orientation, the Assistant Director is a vital member of a collaborative team committed to enhancing student engagement. This team supports a diverse portfolio that includes student organizations, student government, fraternity and sorority life, and the Student Union. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor's degree required Master's degree in student Affairs, Counseling, Higher Education Administration, or a related field preferred Required Qualifications and Experience: 1-3 years of full-time professional experience in Student Affairs within a higher education setting Demonstrated experience in campus programming, student advising, and student development Prior involvement with a campus programming board (either professionally or through undergraduate experience) preferred Ability and willingness to work evening and weekend hours as needed
