* Active Secret Clearance with Top Secret/SCI eligibility (can upgrade you to TS/SCI) * Must have any VMware Certification * Must have IAT Level II Certification or higher *Technical Skills:* * Administering and managing VMware environments such as vSphere, vCenter and ESXi. * Deploy, maintain, configure VMs * Administering vSAN (hyper-converged storage) * Troubleshoot/manage SAN and NAS * Apply security patches/updates to Windows Server and VMware environments * Configure/maintain DNS & DHCP * Experience with Active Directory-- user/group administration, OU structures, GPO * Familiarity with HA- vMotion, DRS, SRM *Job Description* As a Senior Systems Administrator, the individual will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and operating computer systems and servers. In this role, the Systems Administrator will install hardware and software and participate in research and development. In addition, the individual must work proactively to perform the duties necessary to mitigate the disruption of services, by responding to outages and promptly resolving problems. * * *Responsibilities* * Engaged in the operation and support of computer systems and peripherals for a large-scale government operation providing information technology common services to multiple agency tenant organizations * Works on virtualized environments, managing SANs/NAS devices, desktop services, and a variety of technologies supporting computing capabilities * Participates in complex operating systems, systems software planning and implementation, and production support activities * Interfaces with Contractor and Government personnel, confers with equipment and software vendors * Writes, edits, and prepares graphical presentations of technical information * Performs other tasks as required by OSC, and the Government contacting office *Required Qualifications/Education and Experience* * Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent experience (preferably in Information Technology, Information Management, or Cyber Security * Must have and maintain Secret personnel clearance and must be eligible for a Top-Secret clearance * Must be DoD 8570 certified at the IAT-II / IAM-II level, Security+ or higher * Must have a VMware certification or Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate/AZ800 certification or previously held Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification or other functionally relevant, Administrator Role Based Microsoft certification * Required experience in Vmware * Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in operating computer systems * Must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 24/7 military or governmental IT environment * Prior experience in an engineering data center environment * Must have extensive experience with virtualized environments, hyperconverged infrastructure, backup and recovery applications, desktop services, and a variety of technologies supporting computing capabilities * Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service experience in a variety of circumstances across all organizational levels * Experience with DNS, DHCP, Active Directory Domain Services, DoD PKI and managing group policies *Employee Value Proposition (EVP)* * New technologies are brought in consistently. The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is an organization of over 2,000 personnel of which 700 serve at HQ and the remaining staff serve at offices worldwide. NCIS is the Department of Navy (DON) component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counter-terrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters. NCIS not only has primary responsibility for all criminal investigative, CI, CT, and cyber matters within the DON, but it also has exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage, and subversive activities. NCIS is one of several DoD criminal investigative and intelligence organizations headquartered together at the Russell-Knox Building (RKB) aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA. Known collectively as Military Department Investigation Agencies (MDIA), the individual organizations include NCIS, Defense Security Service (DSS), Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID), and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).The five MDIAs have agreed to pursue opportunities for commonalities and efficiencies in the management and delivery of IT services across the collocated organizations. The Information Technology Common Services Unit (ITCSU) executes its shared services mission through the auspices of NCIS' executive leadership. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $67.30/hr.
