Job Summary The Maintenance Tech 2 role requires a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. This role will perform advanced maintenance tasks, diagnose issues, and ensure the optimal functioning of equipment. Required Soft Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-functional team environment.
- Proficiency in using computers and tablets to input data into maintenance management systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Physical capability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Responsibilities
Functions and Responsibilities Machine Maintenance
- Perform routine service and preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on various machines.
- Replace components such as cylinders, pumps, bearings, and other machine parts.
- Set up and conduct minor repairs on hand tools and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues related to machine operations.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repair assistance, parts procurement, and service-related needs.
- Conduct troubleshooting and minor repairs on air compressors and associated systems.
- Install machine-related systems including vacuum lines, ductwork, and other auxiliary components.
- Operate various types of mobile equipment, including proficiency in using a 60-ft articulating lift.
Building and Facility Maintenance Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues involving toilets, urinals, sinks, and water coolers.
- Install and replace water cooler filters.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including breakers, panel boxes, lighting fixtures, and other related components.
- Replace ballasts and light fixtures as needed.
- Maintain roof drainage systems including gutters and downspouts.
- Perform minor repairs on building doors, roll-up doors, and security gates.
- Repair and replace ceiling tiles
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 4 years of experience with a high school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a certified apprenticeship program, preferred.
- Journeyman license, preferred.
