Machine Operator I Location(s): Stanley, VA, US, 22851 Function: Manufacturing Audience: Hourly Work Arrangement: On Site Requisition ID: 64637 Summary: Receives machining schedule from supervisor, reads and interprets customer machine diagrams and identify machining spec errors, advanced understanding of machining diagrams and setup is performed on a computer or manually set the machine, perform quality checks, processes each door in cue, label/tag doors as required, blows off each door, ability to program architect and Kval edge/face machine, operate cut out machine, hand drill, pneumatic braid gun, and squaring tools. Performs regularly reoccurring tooling changes. Knowledge: All door skins, all door core, must be able to read ticket, machining schedules, diagrams, tape measure up to a 32nd, CNC experience, computer controlled machine experience, advanced math (fractions). Forklift and LOTO safety procedures. Skills: Preparation, use and cleaning of woodworking machines, operate a computer-controlled machine, squaring tools, hand drills, calipers, sanding blocks, hammers, carpenter square and tape measures. Basic forklift driving skills. Effective communication skills necessary with Customer Service. Responsibility: High level of responsibility, set up and run machine with no supervision, incorrect operation can result in damaged product, high COQ impact, or machinery and cause delays in customer shipments. Physical Demands: Manually slides/flips door (max. 100 pds per door), stooping, bending, twisting, lifting, and basic forklift driving. Mental Demands: Multiple checks on several dimensions to ensure proper quality. High output demand. Working Conditions: Mildly controlled environment - can expect cold and heat during extreme weather conditions. Moderate dust environment.
