Now Hiring: Medical Equipment Repair Technician | Presbyterian Healthcare Services

Are you passionate about healthcare technology and supporting medical teams with essential patient care equipment? Presbyterian Healthcare Services is looking for a Medical Equipment Repair Technician to assist in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telemetry, wearables, video monitoring devices, point-of-care testing, and medical lifts.

Location: Presbyterian Hospital, Albuquerque, NM Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts | Full-time (Non-Exempt) Benefits: Medical, wellness program, vision, dental, paid time off, retirement

What You'll Do:

Support clinical teams with patient care technology troubleshooting & operation Maintain and clean healthcare equipment to ensure safety & efficiency Ensure compliance with Manufacturer Instructions for Use (MIFUs) Manage equipment reporting, transport, and storage

Preferred Qualifications:

High Schoot Diploma plus healthcare experience

Qualifications

    High School Diploma or GED
  • BLS required
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate competency in proper and safe handling and maintenance of patient care technologies and equipment.
  • Must successfully complete competency verification before starting on assigned unit.



Responsibilities

  • Responds timely to direct patient care staff requests for assistance with patient care technology and equipment.
  • Operates and troubleshoots patient care technology and equipment
  • Appropriately cleans, maintains, and stores patient care technology
  • Completes red tag process and transports/reports broken, nonfunctioning, or malfunctioning equipment to BioMed or other department as appropriate such as laboratory or desk top support.
  • Appropriately transports and stores oxygen cylinders.
  • Maintain compliance with Manufactures Instructions for Use (MIFUs) in One Source system
