The Sweet-Cordero laboratory is on the Mission Bay campus of UCSF. The laboratory focuses on molecular biology of cancer, with a particular focus on pediatric sarcomas and lung cancer. We are seeking a research assistant to work closely with a postdoctoral fellow on design and execution of experiments involving molecular biology, tissue culture and in vivo analysis using mouse models and human samples . Work will involve tissue culture, wet lab assays (western blotting, immunofluorescence, PCR), but will primarily focus on in vivo studies employing small animals (mice) - giving investigational treatments, performing imaging, and dissection. Some prior experience with mouse work is preferred, and a general willingness to work with live small animals (mice) is crucial.
