We're looking for a Software Development Senior Director who can lead engineering teams through architectural changes to deliver a hyperscale, cloud-based data processing system that can handle massive amounts of data with low latency. In this role you will have responsibility for the architecture of the health data platform and provide leadership to software development teams to complete the vision.

At Oracle our exciting mission is to build a premier health data platform with intelligent services. This would entail several interesting technical challenges. As part of this team, you will accelerate several architectural efforts - achieve orders of magnitude data processing latency improvement, creating comprehensive patient health records that can scale to entire populations of nations and creating a next generation Data and AI platform. Healthcare applications are mission critical requiring advancement to highest levels of availability and disaster recovery capabilities. As we partner with Oracle Cloud engineering teams, you will participate in advancement and early adoption of cutting edge OCI Big Data, data lake and data warehouse services and products. The Health Data platform will have global reach, requiring engineering advancements to support varying data laws and regulations, data formats and content.

Qualifications

  • Experience building cutting edge, highly scalable data processing systems on cloud services.
  • Deep expertise in design concepts and technologies within the data processing space.
  • Successfully delivering and operating software products globally for large number of customers.
  • Demonstrated achievement of operational excellence within the engineering organization leading to high customer satisfaction.
  • Well versed in security and compliance of cloud-based applications and services, implementing appropriate security controls and monitoring solutions to protect sensitive data and mitigate risks.
  • 12 plus years demonstrated ability leading software engineering teams.
Responsibilities
  • Setting the technical direction for the architectural of the health data platform in collaboration with other senior technical resources.
  • Developing strategic plans to accomplish technical as well as business objectives in partnership with leaders across various Oracle business groups and customers.
  • Drive innovation within the health data platform through advancement of OCI data services.
  • Lead engineering teams and own delivery of successful health data products and services to customers.
  • Management responsibility over multiple software engineering teams.
  • Building high performing geographically distributed engineering teams through hiring and coaching.
  • Establish and implement engineering strategies that align with applicable standards and regulatory practices for healthcare software products.]
Qualifications

Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers Interacts internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
