Strategic Weapon System Program Office is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join the SWS Trainer program. The SWS Trainer program is essential to the success of OHIO/COLUMBIA since the crews require training prior to deployment. Responsibilities:
Support and maintain various project schedules that support design, material procurement, production, and installation of both US and UK Trainer Facilities
- Provide daily program status updates to management regarding potential impacts to both US and UK Trainer schedules
- Provide program status updates to SSP and other customers as required by management
- Support resourcing, budgeting, and scheduling of personnel supporting both US and UK Trainer Facilities
- Facilitate various EB and Vendor production status meetings
- Interface with Purchasing, Materials, and Planning to coordinate EB and Vendor production
- Maintain Action Item database for both US and UK Trainer Facilities
The successful candidate possess the following skills:
- Proficient in MS Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project
- Ability to work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to plan, organize, and schedule work
- Ability to direct others to accomplish tasks
- Ability to interact with customers and other internal departments at all levels of supervision and management
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience involving submarine ship systems or shall hold a Navy qualification in submarines
Preferred:
- Technical background in OHIO Class Submarine Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS), its components, and operational experience
- 2-5 years of experience related to project management experience
- Familiarity with EB tools including Oracle, Artemis, PCM, ELCADD, SPARS, MRPII, Logiquest, CPC, and AMPS
