We're looking for a full-time, staff Engineer, Continuous Improvement 2!

The Continuous Improvement Engineer 2 is responsible for analyzing and optimizingmanufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role leadsdata-driven initiatives to identify process bottlenecks, implement lean manufacturing principles,and drive sustainable improvements. The engineer collaborates cross-functionally to developinnovative solutions, enhance automation, and implement fault-proofing techniques. A strongunderstanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and process validation isessential. This position plays a critical role in optimizing performance, increasing productivity,improving quality and ensuring sustainable business growth.

As the Engineer, Continuous Improvement 2, here's the work you'll do:

  • Assist in analyzing and optimizing production and operational processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Gather and analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement, conducting root cause analysis using problem-solving tools (e.g., 5-why, Fishbone Diagrams) to recommend corrective action.
  • Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring continuous improvement projects under the direction of the Manager of Continuous Improvement.
  • Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to implement improvement initiatives which providing basic training and support for employees on Lean tools and problem-solving techniques.
  • Support efforts to improve process consistency, product quality, and compliance with internal and external standards.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business Required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in process improvement, QC/QA; lean manufacturing, engineering.

And if you have these qualifications:

  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement techniques to drive efficiency.
  • Ability to analyze, process data, identify patterns, and recommend improvements using statistical and analytical tools.
  • Experience with implementing process changes, conducting time studies, and using software such as Excel, Minitab, Python, Data Analytics tools, or Power BI (DAX) for analysis and visibility.
  • Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams, present findings, and assist in training employees on process improvements.
  • Understanding of production systems, operational workflows, and quality assurance to drive sustainable improvements.
  • May require US government secret clearance.
  • Great attitude and team player.
  • Successful completion of background screening process.



In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $75,280 - $112,920. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
