Job Description

Responsible for the safe, efficient and well maintained hotel environment in guest rooms and public areas.



Responsibilities

    Operate and maintain equipment as needed for hot/cold water, HVAC, electrical, kitchen and other related building functions or equipment such as chillers, pumps and drives.
  • Monitoring and operation of BMS (Building Management System).
  • Maintain and protect guest room equipment, furnishings, fixtures and finishes
  • Assist mechanics and other engineers with all repairs as needed.
  • Knowledge & understanding of Omni fire, safety and emergency policies and procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations
  • Ensure Omni core values, property and department standards are implemented and applied.
  • Active participant in departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Maintaining records, meter readings, logs, reports and project deadlines.
  • Keeps informed of all new developments within the department.
  • Effectively manages guest, client and team member relations with utmost professionalism & respect.
  • Use of two-way radio and 100% compliance with earpiece throughout shift.
  • Use of Synergy for guest/associate request, PM's and projects
  • Works with safety as a priority while following department and Omni safety standards.
  • Performs any other job-related duties as assigned
    • ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS:

      • Team members may be expected to work outside and may be subject to all weather conditions and subject to varying levels of cold, heat, humidity, precipitation, wind, noise, and vibration.
      • Exposure to various hazardous chemical
      • Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality industry team members must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
      • Work may be performed in and or around electrically or mechanically energized equipment.
      • May be required to work in elevated places on ladders, lifts, catwalks, and staging inside and outside of the building.
      • Proper precautions and procedures must be taken including the use of appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
      • Understanding and use of Lock Out Tag Out and strict adherence

      TOOLS & EQUIPMENT:

    • Basic understanding and knowledge of chemicals, MSDS and OSHA guidelines is required

    • Telephone, computer, hand tools, power tools, other tools or equipment required to perform work as supplied by.
    • Knowledge and/or willingness and ability to learn basic hand and power tools, testing equipment and materials.


Qualifications

  • Must have one plus years of Watch / Property Maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel environment
  • Ability and desire to learn new skills and repairs.
  • Must have strong communication and writing skills.
  • Requires general computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel and ability to learn other relative engineering programs.
  • Must be organized and mechanically inclined with strong desire to learn building mechanics.
  • Understanding of problem solving with minimal guest, associate or client disruption.
  • Must interact with guests, associates and clients in a professional manner.
  • Prior guest service experience required, preferably in hotels.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and performance
