Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Lead with 10 to 14 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Databricks SQL and Commercial Project Management. This hybrid role requires strong technical and project management skills to drive successful outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of Databricks solutions to meet project requirements.
  • Oversee SQL database management and ensure data integrity and security.
  • Provide expertise in Commercial Project Management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans schedules and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure successful completion.
  • Communicate project status risks and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
  • Mentor and guide team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Utilize domain expertise in OMICS Pipeline Development and Structural Biology & Modelling to drive innovation.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Contribute to the companys purpose by delivering high-quality solutions that impact society positively.
Qualifications
  • Must have strong technical skills in Databricks and SQL.
  • Must have experience in Commercial Project Management.
  • Nice to have experience in OMICS Pipeline Development.
  • Nice to have experience in Structural Biology & Modelling.
  • Must have excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

The annual salary for this position is between $115,000 - $135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
