At MKBC, we save lives every day by providing blood products to hospitals in PA and NJ. The Blood Component Lab Technician position supports the Blood Center by manufacturing a safe supply of blood and blood components to be used in our community hospitals. You never know when someone you love or yourself will need blood or platelets or any of the other products we provide. The anticipated salary starts at $17.00 per hour and is commensurate with experience. In addition, Miller-Keystone offers the following to all full-time employees:

What you will be doing:



  • Follow Lab procedures to perform testing on blood and blood products.
  • Maintain records to demonstrate proper testing protocols.
  • Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results.
  • Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from established performance specifications.


What you will bring to the role:



  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • 6 months' experience in a production environment is preferred.
  • Experience working in and understanding a regulated environment is preferred.
  • Proficient with basic computer skills and office tools, such as Microsoft Office, and ability to use software relevant to the position


  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions, seeking guidance as necessary.


Additional information:



  • This position reports directly to the Donor Collections Manager
  • Hours are 2nd Shift, Monday - Thursday 3:00pm - 11pm and Friday 12:00pm - 8:00pm
  • This position works every other Saturday 10:00am - 6:00pm and rotates to cover weekends and holidays
