Scientific Writer I

Essential Responsibilities

* Technical writing and editing

* Assist in the development/writing/review/QC/formatting of scientific and technical documents

* Assist in the development/writing/review/QC/formatting of monthly and annual project progress reports

* Assist in the development/writing/review/QC/formatting of technical marketing materials and business proposals

* Assist in plain language review of all documents

Additional Responsibilities

* Assisting with the statistical evaluation of data

* Assist with data curation and QC

* Work in a team environment with a professional and positive attitude

* Other duties as needed

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

* Education:

1. B.S. in physical/life sciences or a relevant degree

2. M.S. in physical/life sciences or a relevant degree

* Experience:

1. 4+ years in scientific technical writing/editing

2. 2+ years in scientific technical writing/editing

* Skills:

o Strong technical writing and organizational skills

o High attention to detail

o Ability to exercise independent judgment, multi-task, and meet short-term deadlines

o Function well independently and in a team environment

o Excellent communication skills

Working Environment

* Office

* Occasional weekend, holiday, and evening travel may be required

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person's relevant experience and/or education level.
