Job Description:

The Director of Engagement and Community is responsible for leading the creation, implementation and operationalization of strategies and programs that cultivate employee engagement throughout the organization and community impact. The Director of Engagement and Community creates innovative inclusion programs to attract and retain top talent for the organization. The Director of Engagement and Community will also be responsible for leading the development of internal partnerships across departments within the organization and working in partnership to define goals and create action plans This role is vital for growing a culture that ensures an inclusive environment where all employees can thrive and advancing Ryan's community impact. The Director of Engagement and Community will work closely with executive leadership and department heads to implement and sustain programs and processes that align with the organization's goals, values, and long-term vision to create a workplace that attracts the workforce of the future.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Enhance and continue to support execution of the company's employee engagement strategies, aligned with business objectives in order to promote an engaged, inclusive and performance-based workplace culture.

  • Lead initiatives that build on our long history of community support including team member volunteerism and philanthropic commitments

  • Serve as a thought leader and trusted advisor, providing expertise and direction to senior leadership.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that inclusivity and the organizations values are consistently embedded in all aspects of the business

  • Use data analytics to assess the effectiveness of initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

Program Development & Implementation:

  • Lead the development and implementation of innovative programs, training and initiatives that promote an engaged, inclusive and performance-based culture.

  • Support existing and new employee resource groups (ERGs) and affinity networks, supporting their development and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to:

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop talent, working in close collaboration with Talent Acquisition, Human Resource Business Partners and Total Rewards.

  • Develop and manage recognition programs to celebrate employee achievements and contributions.

  • Manage, track and enhance employee engagement strategies and surveys via regular employee engagement surveys.

Change Management & Communication:

  • Partner with leaders across the organization to drive cultural enhancement, ensuring the principles of inclusivity, engagement and performance are consistently integrated into the company's processes, policies, and practices.

  • Collaborate on and inform internal and external communications related to promote an environment of trust and accountability.

Metrics & Reporting:

  • Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the success of culture and engagement initiatives; provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership, recommending actionable solutions to address key areas of improvement.

  • Utilize data-driven insights to adjust strategies and ensure alignment with best practices and evolving trends in building workplace culture.

  • Oversee the preparation of reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate the impact of programs to both internal and external audiences.

Partnership & Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws.

  • Build strong partnerships among human resources peers, with an ability to work and thrive in a matrixed organization.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, sociology, psychology, or a related field is required.

  • You will really stand out with a master's degree or professional certification in HR, or organizational leadership.

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of designing and executing successful programs in a corporate environment.

  • Experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive organizational change.

  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into initiatives.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to lead and influence change across all levels of an organization.

  • Proficient in data analysis, with the ability to assess trends, identify gaps, and recommend solutions.

Compensation:

The base pay range is $149,700-$215,500/Annually. The salary may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
