Primary Purpose of the Position |
Provide part-time instruction of undergraduate-level courses in Health, Physical Education, Sport Management, and Motorsport Management programs. |
Primary Function of Organizational Unit |
The Department of Health, Physical Education and Sport Studies provides courses in several critical content areas. We currently serve the
WSSU community through our Health Education offering. Additionally, we offer undergraduates the chance to earn their Bachelor of Science in the following areas: Motorsports Management, Physical Education, and Sport Management. Additional, Health, Physical Education and Sport Studies offers minors in coaching and sports medicine. |

Describe the specific job duties related to this competency |
- The adjunct faculty will prepare all course materials and lessons for general education health courses, significant courses in sports management, Motorsports, Physical Education, and Physical Activity courses.
- The Adjunct Faculty will also provide students with clear course expectations, evaluations, timelines, and an approved syllabus.
- Will provide engaging and relevant assignments for students that demonstrate learning outcomes.
- Challenge, engage, serve, and communicate with students to encourage participation and learning while maintaining mutual value and respect.
- Adjunct Faculty will also complete grade books, mid-term and final grade submissions, learning assessments, and final exam assessments on time.
- Respond to student questions on a timely basis.
- Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined in the syllabus.
