Job Description:

As a Graphic Designer on Ryan's national marketing team, you will create high-quality, dynamic designs that achieve marketing objectives and reflect the Ryan brand. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that is always on the lookout to innovate and create designs that keep our brand fresh. You will manage all aspects of graphic design including custom design, creation and implementation of templates, presentation tools, print and digital; coordinate with project stakeholders and marketing support team; prepare files for production, see product through delivery. You will also have the opportunity to provide creative concepts and designs in support of our in-house creative agency, Yellow Truck Creative, including custom logos and other brand development work, as well as large-scale environmental graphics for customers across the U.S.

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Create custom digital and print designs used in a variety of creative projects including print and digital advertisements; proposals; brochures; social media graphics; websites; jobsite marketing; apparel; and promotional materials

  • Create fresh, original, creative artwork in support of Yellow Truck Creative

  • Develop templates and guidelines that empower users of all skill levels

  • Provide coaching and training to corporate and regional InDesign users

  • Coordinate production with vendors including sign, print, and publications

  • Keep organized and easily accessible electronic files so work can be shared among all colleagues

  • Use Wrike, our marketing project management software, to organize and track projects

  • Provide design guidance and oversight on strategic marketing materials

  • Ensure all designs adhere to brand standards and complement existing brand materials.

  • Contribute to structure improvements and department best practice processes

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Expert-level Adobe Creative Suite experience

  • 5 years graphic design experience on a corporate marketing or agency team

  • 5 years of experience successfully executing original designs - created independently - from concept through production with a portfolio of stunning samples of your work

  • Experience coordinating and overseeing production of media and marketing materials

  • Experience designing for digital and print materials

  • Knowledge of and/or experience in a broader marketing role is helpful

  • Four-year degree in graphic design or related field is required

You will really stand out if you have:

  • Superior technical skills, with advanced knowledge of the full Adobe Creative Suite

  • Excellent design sense, able to create custom design with minimal direction

  • Current in design trends including color schemes, fonts, styles

  • Able to train/coach others in technical design skills

  • Strong collaboration skills, able to work with a wide range of personalities

  • A strong drive to succeed balanced with a desire to bring people along on the ride

  • Strong organizational skills; able to juggle multiple projects and priorities to meet deadlines

  • Discipline to follow processes and manage priorities

  • Strong desire to learn and grow and passion to explore new design trends and approaches

  • Ideal candidate is not easily daunted or intimidated, displays confidence in the face of skepticism

  • Candidate shares the Ryan values and adds to the positive spirit of the team and the Ryan culture overall

Eligibility:

  • Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S.

Compensation:

The base pay is $29.94 - $38.00 per hour. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.
