Scope of Position

The Nursing Program Manager is a member of the Department of Anesthesiology care team who works in collaboration with physicians and other medical staff to coordinate and provide health care service specifically related to department administrative quality management as well as program and services as they relate to patient safety and adverse event management amp; reporting across the Health System and Medical Center so that optimal quality of care and the highest level of patient outcomes can be achieved. Works collaboratively with the Quality Department, Safety Director, Perioperative Directors, Risk Management, Patient Experience, Compliance and other administrative leaders to communicate changes, issues and education related items to the Anesthesiology Department

Position Summary

Under the direction of the department leadership and the health system quality director the Nursing Program Manager will be responsible for the various department quality programs and initiative to support both the functionality of our administrative quality needs as well as those that pull directly into patient care. Monitors and evaluates clinical quality, patient safety outcomes, clinician practice patterns as related to credentialing but also as a means to improve the quality of care amp; patient safety for patients across the Health System and/or Medical Center. Serves as a department The Joint Commission compliance coordinator

For Hire: Registered Nurse licensed by the state of Ohio. BSN required with MSN preferred. Quality assurance experience required; experience with event reporting, FMEA and sentinel event follow-up preferred. Experience with QA, chart audits, clinical practice guidelines and standards of care for the peri-op patient is preferred. Post-anesthesia nursing care experience preferred. BCLS certified. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
