Job Description:

Gourmet Dining at Marist University is looking for an undergraduate student who passionate about the connections between food, environmental issues and human health. This position will provide hands-on experience in the area of food service sustainability and wellness. The internship is tailored toward out-going, self-motivated students with a passion for environmental issues, healthy food, and wellness.

Responsibilities:

  • Community engagement and outreach: helping plan and execute campus wide events that promote wellness and sustainability, conduct surveys and present results
  • Support research: conduct audits, surveys and data collection to contribute to research projects, as assigned
  • Create educational materials/social media content: these materials will be used to communicate with the community and promote programming
  • Collaborate with dining team and community stakeholders to implement and drive wellness and sustainability initiatives

Requirements:

  • Commitment to 10-15 hours per week during assigned hours
  • Demonstrated interest and commitment to wellness and sustainability
  • Experience with Microsoft Office/Excel
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Ability to work with people of all ages and backgrounds
Job Summary

This position is paid, but not eligible for benefits such as medical, relocation, or housing.
