Security Supervisor

Responsible for the overall safety and security of the Shared Services facility and grounds.

What you'll do:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops,implements, and communicates all facility emergency and security procedures.
• Provides a safe work environment for staff, vendors, and contractors byensuring all safety policies and practices are followed and maintained.
• Conducts facility risk assessments as needed, with recommendations for risk mitigation, maintenance, or upgrades as appropriate. Responds to emergencies in accordance with established procedures.
• Supervisesandmaintainsrelated vendor relationships and workload assignments, ensuring established service levels and standards are met for all security systems and equipment, and that all vendor policies and procedures are followed.
• Meets with management and employee staff on a regular basis to resolve current issues and discuss upcoming events.
• Coordinates onsite event security, issues facility access control badges and sets access levels for entry scan points, and maintains maintenance, registration, and inspection records for all site vehicles.
• Manages all areas of the employee lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, training, recognition and performance management to foster ahigh-performanceculture.

• Responsible for entering and approving payroll in a timely manner and developing a work schedule with a focus on minimizing overtime and employee turnover.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Drives exceptional performance of a security staff of 10-12 employees by setting, communicating, monitoring and updating goals as needed for key performance indicators on a regular and consistent basis. Interviewing

and hiring new candidates, etc.

Knowledge/Skills and abilities:

• Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of PC-based software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, and Teams
• Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently
• Excellent investigation andproblem-solvingskills
• Proven written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational and prioritization skills

• Negotiation and vendor management skills

What we're looking for:

Experience/Qualifications:

• High School diplomarequired;college degree preferred (or equivalent in education,trainingor experience)
• Active Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) certification preferred

• Minimum of 5 years management experience of employees in related field

• Military or law enforcement experience a plus
• Flexibility to workmultiple shifts, if needed
