Overview R&P is seeking a Director of Contracts to work in our corporate office in Washington DC. The Director of Contracts is a senior leadership position responsible to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for managing and overseeing all contracting and subcontracting efforts across the company. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in managing U.S. government contracts throughout the contracting lifecycle (draft RFP, proposal, contracting, performance, close-out) and possesses a common-sense approach to managing contracts, subcontracts, purchasing, and personnel under their cognizance. The position requires in-depth knowledge of the FAR/DFAR/CFR/USC and basic legal knowledge in areas related to liability exposure and corporate administrative compliance elements associated with a medium size business approaching $100M in annual revenue. The Director of Contracts is the company's primary point of contact for all contract matters and is responsible for ensuring all contracts-related communications (e.g., contracts, modifications, RFQs/RFPs/RFIs, clarification requests, legal inquiries) are distributed to internal parties in a timely manner and corporate responses are internally vetted and timely.
