Position Summary

Job Summary:

The person in this position executes the production schedules, as directed by the supervisor, and provides appropriate on the job training (OJT) for new Production associates

Essential Job Functions:

  • Takes ownership of area of responsibility for the people and the products being produced.
  • Create an environment of engagement and empowerment with the team.
  • Be focused on company, team and individual growth and development.
  • Drives quality at the source with the production team, ensuring a quality product every time.
  • Assists in teaching production personnel their assigned tasks
  • Informs the Material Handlers of any critical shortage of material items
  • Reviews the daily production schedule and sales orders for any changes
  • Verifies the availability of required tools and parts to complete orders
  • Coordinates activities of assigned production personnel to achieve quality and delivery performance satisfaction.
  • Interacts across business units including warehouse, production control, facilities, manufacturing, engineering and quality assurance
  • Informs the supervisor of any direct labor shortages on line
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and principles - including take time, flow, and pull
  • Ensure production personnel follow Standard Work for their assigned duties
  • Ensure the production area is well kept and improve 6S performance
  • Ensure the production line is performing to the prescribed productivity standards
  • Actively participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement related activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year experience in assembly of gaming devices

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent along with significant work experience and/or technical training

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Hands on experience with small hand and power tools as used in assembly operations required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform tasks for assembly and data entry on computers required
  • Ability to use simple hand tools and operate lift truck
  • Ability to work from drawings, charts, or specifications
  • The ability to use electronic test equipment and a soldering iron for PC board repair is required
  • Basic computer literacy with some networking knowledge is preferred
