Sr. Oracle Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Provide database guidance and support to project teams
• Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning
• Install, tune, implement and upgrade DBMS installations
• Write and deploy SQL patches
• Upgrade and improve application schema and data upgrades
• Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements
• Collate, prepare, and present statistical information for internal and external use
• Monitor database operations and understand normal behavior of the databases
• Ensure database backup and recovery jobs and planning are in in place
• Provide database architectural direction to the program and individual project teams
• Ensure database access controls support protecting the data
• Support application and database deployment for application modules

Basic Qualifications:

• An Active Secret clearance with the ability to pass a comprehensive background check
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related information technology field
• 8 years of experience with programming languages such PL/SQL, MS SQL and Oracle coding.
• 8 years of Oracle experience
• 2 years of experience with Postgres DBMS
• 1 year experience with Postgres Stored Procedures, Triggers Development
• 5 years of ETL experience using data integration tools like
• 3 years of experience in administering, managing and tuning databases

• Good understand database design, implementation, trouble shooting and maintenance
