About the Job

The College of Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota needs lecturers to teach the co-op courses during the 2025 summer session. Appointments will be part-time and may be limited to one semester. Appointments may be renewable based on need, funding, and performance.

Duties:
Prepare and deliver lectures (30%)
Hold office hours (15%)
Assess student work (30%)
Supervise the teaching assistants (15%)
Manage the administration of the course (10%)

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in an engineering degree.
  • The ability to instruct effectively at the undergraduate level to a diverse group of engineering students is required.
  • Expertise and documented teaching activities must demonstrate a strong potential to enhance the college's teaching missions.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property, and business model canvas.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching engineering curriculum at an institute of higher education is highly desired.

Pay and Benefits

Fixed pay rate: $1,560 per 2-credit course.
