Job Description

    Visa Accessibility seeks a Senior Accessibility Analyst with experience in website/app and mobile web testing, plus familiarity with document, and native mobile testing & analysis. This role will consult with teams working to make accessible internal and consumer-facing payment tools and applications. The position provides accessibility support for product development teams and will test, solve, and consult on accessibility issues at all stages of the lifecycle using the company-wide internal standard for compliance, the Visa Global Accessibility Requirements (VGAR).

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

    2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced

    Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 4 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
    • Demonstrated experience in digital accessibility analysis, design reviews, coaching teams in office hours, and testing as well as working with teams to implement accessible resolutions to existing issues.
    • Experience in WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2, Section 508, ADA, other accessibility compliance laws and standards.
    • Experience collaborating to help teams evolve from no accessibility knowledge to strong, sustained accessibility built into their structure, process, culture, and products.
    • Proficiency using common accessibility testing tools, as well as assistive technology such as JAWS, NVDA, Talkback & Voiceover screen readers. Ability to debug issues with AT, browsers, operating systems and code a plus.
    • Experience with web and native mobile accessibility: ARIA, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, iOS, and Android development.
    • Passion for making websites and applications accessible to all users, with connection to a disability community a desirable.
    • Thorough, methodical, and creative with strong attention to detail.
    • Skilled in time management as well as working independently to find answers to questions with minimal direction from supervisor.
    • Strong verbal and written communication, problem solving, customer service and interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate clearly and build rapport with others.
    • Fluent in English with ability to understand and easily be understood when communicating.
    • Understanding of software development lifecycle, as well as the technical and business challenges that come with launching a product and releasing features.
    • Understanding of user experience (UX) design techniques and principals involved in the production of prototypes and wireframes.
    • A team player who is happy sharing credit and looks to succeed by raising up one's colleagues, putting the success of the team ahead of personal gain.
    • Proven ability to thrive in a virtual team environment
    • Experience working with complex business and functional requirements.
    • Experience in Dev, QA, or technical/management consulting a plus
    Additional Information

    Work Authorization:Permanent Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position.

    Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

    Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

    Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

    U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 105,800.00 to 149,550.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
